LODGE CHANGES FOR 2008

Preseli Venture has exciting news - we are currently refurbishing and enlarging our Lodge!

In June 2007 we completed phase one of the project - a brand new low-carbon building which provides our clients with a fantastic new bar area, stylish dining room and lounge, upgraded music system, new patio area and new outside courtyard with stunning views down the valley to the sea. This new building is highly insulated using Insulating Concrete Formwork (see below) and is heated using under floor heating plus wood burning stove.
All the heating and hot water for this building is provided by a ground source (geothermal) heat pump located in our 2 acre field.

Phase 2 is now complete and this new building extension will provide a new shower and toilet block, incorporating 7 'wet room' style units comprising of a self contained shower, toilet and washbasin. Heating and hot water will be provided from the ground source heat pump.

Phase 3 which will continue during 2008 will see alterations to the sleeping accommodation area with new rooms for two people, refurbishment of existing bedrooms, and a new drying room. The car park will also be enlarged to make parking easier at peak times.

The aim is to upgrade the existing facilities from our current 3* Wales Tourist Board grading to 5*, provide heating and hot water in the lodge with the lowest carbon emissions, and increase the overall capacity at Preseli Venture from the existing 30 up to 40 guests in total.

The menu will also be expanded, so we can offer you more variety, fresh locally sourced Pembrokeshire ingredients and local seafood.
